She shared the information on Instagram Stories and wrote, “Smelling an orange or eating one can reduce stress by over 70%.” If we need a way to add a variety of tastes to oranges, Nmami suggests we sprinkle some chilli powder on the pulp before having them.

That sounds like a perfect balance between health and taste, right? Oranges are very nutritious fruits. One orange can be equivalent to half a glass of water and hence, can be hydrating to the body. The fibre present in oranges protects the gut and supports digestive functions. It is rich in Vitamin C which helps in iron absorption, works as an antioxidant and helps in DNA repair. It also helps in serotonin production, which can be linked to relief from stress.


You can include oranges in your diet in various ways. Peel them and have the pulp or slice them in circles. Mix them up in a salad or juice it up. If you want to amp up your game, try some recipes:

Orange zest and orange juice can be mixed with butter, egg yolk and sugar for this recipe. Other ingredients include flour, milk, honey and shredded kafir limes.
